In this upper level semester-long high school course we will explore all the texts from the Medieval period that shaped Christian thought for hundreds of years. From Aristotle to Augustine to Boethius to Descartes, we will be diving into primary sources and discussing their meaning and impact.
This class meets for 1.5hrs once a week. The first half of the class focuses on a lecture-style portion and the second half is discussion based.
Students will compose one full length essay for the semester as well as a few mini writing assignments as prep for the final paper. Students will also be graded on discussion participation.
